Saturday, June 7, 9:00am. Big Bend, Laguna Coast Wilderness Park, Laguna Beach.
Take the 133 south from the 5, 405 or 73 freeways into Laguna Beach. Just past El Toro Road, continue S a half mile and look for the used Jeeps on the Left, just past the Artist Studios. Just opposite the Jeeps see the entry to the parking lot. $5 entry fee at the kiosk. Port a potty in the lot. Paint the iconic pathway up the hill and background hills.
Friday, June 13, 9:00am. Eisenhower Park, City of Orange.
Take the 55 fwy N thru Orange, Exit Lincoln Ave. Go west under the freeway, and go immediate R on Tustin St. going north. Go 1/4 mile up the hill and go L on Bixby a block or two to the parking lot on the left. Paint the creek, and a wide variety of trees. Restrooms throughout the park.
Saturday, June 21, 9:00am. Shaw’s Cove, Laguna Beach.
Take PCH to any one of 3 separate South entrances to Cliff Drive. Park on the street near the Shaw’s Cove sign across from Fairview Street, which indicate the steps down to Shaw’s Cove. Paint the beach views south or cliffs to the north. Restrooms are over in Crescent Bay next door.
Friday, June 27, Doors open at 10:00am. Casa Romantic, San Clemente
Rick Delanty will be giving a Plein air demo at 10:30 at 415 Ave Granada.
Take the 5 fwy S into San Clemente, exit Ave Presidio-- go S a couple blocks and go L on El Camino Real. Go 1/2 mile and go R on Del Mar about a mile down towards the beach. Go R on Ave Granada 1/2 block and park on the street, near the cul de sac at the Casa. $8 entry at the door. Bring a chair and sketchbook. Doors stay open until 2:00pm. Restrooms.
