11am
Location: Peter & Mary Muth Interpretive Center
2301 University Drive, Newport Beach, CA 92660

| Email Scam Alert
We have received reports that some of our members are getting fraudulent emails that
appear to be from me, or another board member, requesting assistance with "gift
vouchers" or other unusual requests.
This is a scam. These emails are not real, and they are not from me or anyone on the
SOCALPAPA board.
Please be aware of the following:
Do not open or respond to these emails.
Do not click on any links.
Do not provide any personal or financial information.
SOCALPAPA will never contact you in this way. We will never ask you to purchase gift
cards, gift vouchers, or handle confidential matters through an unannounced email.
While the sender’s name may appear normal in such emails, check the actual email
address which will likely be very different from my, or another board member’s known
email address. All official communication will be sent through our established channels.
If you receive an email like this, please delete it immediately. If you have any questions
or concerns, please contact me directly through my known email address or phone
number, not through the suspicious email.
Thank you for your attention to this important matter.
Sincerely,
Steve Sandborg
President, Board of Directors

Nocturne
30 minutes before sundown
City of Orange Plaza
Orange
Nocturne at city of Orange Plaza, Glassell St. and Chapman Ave.
Many different locations to paint. You may want to go a day beforehand to scout out what it looks like when completely dark.
Kevin Davidson will be mentoring any new people and also help in finding a good spot to paint.
The fountain in the center will be dimly lit, and there are few stores and restaurants offering good nocturne views.
Restrooms only in the restaurants themselves reserved for patrons, you may want to eat dinner there before painting. Parking is limited around the plaza, but there is a free parking garage 2 1/2 blocks away on Lemon and Maple if you can’t find a spot in the street or open air lots around the center of town. | | | | Saturday, October 18
