Congratulations and Thank you to all the Back Bay Quick Draw Artists, Volunteers and our Judge Mark Jacobucci!

Mark Jacobucci awarded 3 prizes - 1st, 2nd and 3rd place. The winners are (Shown Left to Right ):

1st Place - Back Bay Breakthrough,” Oil PaintingVictoria Huff

2nd Place - Big Canyon Homes,” WatercolorKevin Davidson

3rd Place - Back Bay Eye Candy,” Oil PaintingKymberlee Stanley

Winners took home cash and prizes totalling $1,000 for this event, thanks to our generous sponsors!

Many of the paintings done today are on sale this week at the Muth Center, so please stop by and choose YOUR favorites!

It's time to Register for the SECOND Hortense Miller Garden, Laguna Beach

The first SOCALPAPA Hortense Miller Summer Display Show is now open at the Hortense Miller Garden in Laguna Beach.

We are getting great comments about the art.

Registration is now open for the second show to be on display from

August 3 to August 31.

This is a non-juried show for SOCALPAPA members only!
All works must be of the Hortense Miller Garden property or of views from the property. Works can be either plein air or studio. This display space is limited, so register soon. Contact Dawn Buckingham or Jim Ellsberry if you have questions.

Register to paint by emailing Diane Lannon, diane.lannon@gmail.com.

You may paint at the garden even if you do not plan to enter the show.

Artists meet Diane at Riddle Field at 9:00 am and may paint until noon.

Painting times must be scheduled and are available on the following dates:

The Board of Directors of Newport Bay Conservancy (NBC) invite you and a guest to an evening reception and awards presentation for the Best of OC Parks and Newport Bay Juried Show featuring Southern California Plein Air Painters Association (SOCALPAPA) Artists with Guest Judge, Geoff Allen. Celebrate with us as we kick off the Back Bay Plein Air Art Festival's weekend show and sale.
