THANK YOU !!

to all those who attended the

Francis DiFronzo 2-Day Plein Air Workshop

San Joaquin Marsh Wildlife Sanctuary, Irvine, CA

October 12 and 13

DiFronzo group
DiFronzo teaching
DiFronzo painting house
DiFronzo trees

We had a great time with two days of demos plus group and individual, personalized instruction by Francis. We learned about simplifying composition, the importance of doing sketches, and how to use acrylic paint to block in our subject.

We then transitioned to oil paint to refine and complete our plein air paintings.

We look forward to more skill-building workshops to come!

Calling all volunteers!

SOCALPAPA needs your help for future events.

Needed now:

The Back Bay committee is the most urgent right now, as the planning meetings with the various parties involved start are well along the way. But committee chair Ellen Emmer along with 2023 co-chairs Randy Moran and Anne Kupillas still need help, especially as the event will be here before we know it.

Volunteering is a great way to help make the club events a success and to support your fellow club members, while having fun doing so.If you're interested in volunteering, or learning more about the commitments involved in the specific roles, or are curious about other opportunities to get involved, please contact Denise Bradley here:
